Andrea Alai
Andrea Alai was born the 14th of December 1985 in Albenga, Italy. He studies International Economics at Bocconi University in Milano. He taught himself photography traveling and attending mentorship programs and workshops with renowned photographers and industry professionals around the world like Darcy Padilla, MaryAnne Golon, Santiago Lyon, Kadir Van Lohuizen, Christopher Morris, etc. In 2018 was awarded with the first prize at the International Andrei Stenin Photo Contest in the Sport section, with a series about the phenomenon of Italian hooliganism. In 2018 he was finalist in the Lodi World Report Award in the single shot category. In November 2018 he was selected to take part of the NikonNOOR Academy, in Budapest. In 2019 he was shortlisted in the Belfast Photo Festival. He is currently working in Italy, Ukraine and South America, mainly on social issues.
